I am a Registered Psychologist with over 15 years of experience providing therapeutic services to teens, adults, and families. I have worked at a number of clinics that include women’s shelters, inpatient treatment centers, and in other private counselling practices.
I specialize in working with individuals who are dealing with life stressors, depression, anxiety/depression, grief and loss, addictions, eating disorders and OCD.
I use a client-centered approach which means we are working collaboratively on a path towards healing. My goal is to help you and your family identify areas where support is needed and create strategies that will guide you on a path towards healing.
Children & Teens
Experienced in counselling children and teens between the ages of 8 - 17 with concerns related to:
Family stressors, self-esteem, addiction, OCD, emotional regulation, academic issues, depression/anxiety, eating disorders, or friendship related issues
Evidence based therapies include: CBT, DBT, ERP & relapse prevention strategies.
I use empathy and connection to build relationships with teens to help them identify and achieve their goals
I have over 15 years experience with expertise in the following areas:
Individuals dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, stressful life changes and trauma
Individuals struggling with addictions, emotional regulation, eating disorders, dual diagnosis and struggling to manage impulsive behaviors
Specialized in obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) assessment, diagnosis and treatment, utilizing Exposure and Response Prevention Treatment (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Expertise in the following therapeutic approaches: CBT, DBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) treatments
