McAtee Psychology is a client-centered psychology practice that provides high quality psychological services that are designed to help individuals and their families move towards a more rich, connected, and meaningful life. We are a growing practice of psychologists who provide both counselling and assessment services to families, adults, and children/teens. We provide specialized services in psychological assessment, family counselling, and counselling for children and teens. We have locations in Douglas Glen and Kensington.

 

We are seeking two contracted provisional or registered psychologist or registered social worker to provide a combination of the following services: individual counselling to teens and adults; parent consultation and counselling; and/or EMDR or ART for trauma.

 

Applicants with the most flexible schedule (some evenings and/or occasional weekends) will have the best chance of building a full caseload. Option for part-time or full-time work.

 

Qualification include:

• Applicants must have a Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Counselling, Education, Social Work, Child Development or related field

• Active or applying for registration or provisional registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists or Social Workers

• Maintenance of individual professional liability insurance required

• Professional; team-oriented; adaptive to team environment; hard-working

• Provisional psychologists must possess their own supervisor/be able to obtain external supervision (we do not provide supervision)

• At minimum, three years of experience working with teens (12 years - 18 years) and/or adults (18 and older) in a therapeutic or teaching environment

 

Experience with the following will be an asset:

• Familiarity with online technology such as Jane App, Google Resources (e.g., Google Meet, Chat)

• Experience performing all administrative components of counselling therapy and/or assessment (intake, record taking, billing, scheduling) 

• Experience in the following modalities: psychological and psychoeducational assessment, ACT, DBT, sand-tray therapy, play-therapy, play-based therapy, IFS, and EMDR/ART therapy

• Experience providing therapeutic services to individuals who are neurodivergent (Autism, FASD, Psychoeducational, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, etc.)

 

Your responsibilities may include:

• Attending monthly team meetings

• Providing counselling therapy and consultation services during designated hours

• Ongoing professional development, on top of current research and methodologies

• Participation in social media in order to promote yourself and the company brand

We are also seeking contracted registered psychologist(s) to provide one or a combination of the following services: (a) counselling position where the individual will provide individual counselling to teens and adults; parent consultation and counselling; and/or EMDR or ART for trauma. Or (b) psychological assessment position where the individual will complete psychological assessments for children and/or adults.

 

Qualification include:

• Applicants must have a Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Child Development or Neuroscience

• Active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (only fully registered psychologists accepted)

• Maintenance of individual professional liability insurance required

• Professional; team-oriented; adaptive to team environment; hard-working

 

Assessment Position Qualifications:

• Ability to complete one or more of the following assessments: Psycho-Educational; Mental Health; Autism Spectrum Disorder; Learning Disabilities; ADHD.

• At minimum, applicant must be able to complete and diagnose ASD using the ADOS and/or ADI-R for adults and/or children

 

Counselling Position Qualifications:

• Training or familiarity with the following: Family Systems, Attachment-based therapeutic approaches, EMDR certification, Play-therapy training/certifications

 

Your responsibilities may include:

• Attending bi-weekly team meetings

• Providing counselling therapy and/or psychological assessment services

• Ongoing professional development, on top of current research and methodologies

• Producing social media and collaborating with the marketing team in order to promote yourself and the company brand

• Operate independently using Jane App to set up appointments, bill, and schedule appointments
