What Is E.M.D.R ?
E.M.D.R (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based psychotherapy that helps individuals process unresolved trauma, anxiety, and other distressing emotions, leading to healing and improved mental health.
In an E.M.D.R session, the client recalls a distressing event while the clinician guides them through eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation. This process helps the brain reprocess the memory, reducing its emotional intensity and allowing the client to move forward with greater ease and resilience.
What Is A.R.T ?
A.R.T. (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) is a short-term, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help individuals quickly process and resolve distressing memories, trauma, anxiety, and other emotional challenges.
During an A.R.T. session, the client is guided through visualization exercises and eye movements to “reprogram” how the brain stores distressing memories. This process reduces the emotional impact of the memory, promotes rapid healing, and supports improved mental health and emotional well-being.

What do we specialize in
Our experienced clinicians specialize in EMDR and A.R.T. therapy for adolescents and adults. We tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring effective, compassionate, and evidence-based treatment.
What specialized tools do we use?
E.M.D.R Tools – buzzers, pulsers, and light bars provide bilateral stimulation, delivering rhythmic tactile or auditory input that alternates between the right and left sides of the body, typically every 1 to 2 times per second.
A.R.T. Tools – guided eye movements and visualization exercises help the brain “reprogram” how distressing memories are stored, reducing their emotional intensity and promoting rapid healing.
Benefits of EMDR and A.R.T. Tools:
Increased feelings of safety and calm
Improved focus, attention, and sleep quality
Reduced stress, anxiety, and physical tension
Faster processing and resolution of traumatic memories
Enhanced emotional regulation and resilience
Benefits Of Evidence-Based Trauma Therapy
- Quick results
E.M.D.R and A.R.T are known for its efficiency, many clients experience meaningful progress after just a few sessions.
- Reduced emotional distress
Traumatic memories become less emotionally charged, allowing individuals to cope in more effective ways.
- Improve self-esteem
EMDR and/or ART can assist in breaking negative patterns of thinking, replacing them with positive beliefs, and nurturing a more positive self-image.
- Enhance coping skills
Clients acquire valuable coping strategies to manage future challenges.
- Reduced verbalization
EMDR limits the need for extensive verbal expression. Our clinicians lead their clients through eye movements/ other forms of bilateral stimulation, which enable the process to primarily occur within their inner experience. EMDR can be helpful for individuals who may struggle to verbalize thier emotions or prefer not to.
