(she-her)
I have over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and families. I began my career in schools, where I gained a strong understanding of the social, emotional, and behavioural needs of young people. This foundation shaped the way I now approach counselling and formal assessments, helping families better understand their child’s learning profile, emotional wellbeing, and developmental needs.
When working with your child or teen, my priority is to create a safe and supportive space where they feel understood and valued. I draw on a variety of evidence-based strategies while also incorporating creative, hands-on, and play-based activities that make learning and growth feel engaging and accessible. I have also completed specialized training in Therapeutic Play Skills, which allows me to intentionally incorporate therapeutic play techniques into my work.
Much of my work involves helping children and teens build confidence, manage stress and big emotions, strengthen attention and learning skills, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. I also provide consultation to parents as they navigate these challenges alongside their child.
Above all, I believe that counselling should be a collaborative and encouraging experience where young people feel not only supported in their struggles but also inspired to thrive.
