Counselling Services Overview
Individual (Adult) Counselling
This service is for individuals over the age of 18 seeking counselling therapy.
Choose a therapist who has the expertise, skills, and experience with your specific goal(s), areas of needs, symptoms
and/or appears to be a good fit for your needs.
Children & Teen Counselling
This service is designed for children under the age of 18. Your chosen therapist will have expertise with specific interventions that are suitable for children and teens (e.g., Art, Games, Activities, Writing, Talk Therapy while walking).
Our standard procedure for this service is to book your child using the Family Counselling (Parents Only) service for the first appointment only. We require parental consent for families where there is shared custody.
Admin staff/clinicians will walk you through this process at the first Family Counselling (Parents Only) appointment.
This service is for individuals looking to receive couples or relationship counselling. Typically, both individuals should be present for the appointment.
The individual setting up the appointment should book the appointment in their name and choose this service.
The therapist will set up a separate profile for your partner at the first appointment.
Family Counselling (Parents Only)
This service serves two purposes. First, it should be used for the first appointment with your child because our standard procedure is to have the first appointment with the parent(s) only.
This is the best way to fully support your child and for us to gather the family information we need to best support your child/ family. Second, this service can be used to book parent consultation/coaching appointments or appointments where only parents are present.
Appointments, where parents are present, are invoiced to the parent(s).
Family Counselling (Parents & Children)
This service is for families looking to work on family-related challenges. This may include challenges between family members, parental issues, sibling issues, and other family issues.
Not all family members need to be present. It is best, to begin with at least two family members
(e.g., a child and one or both parents; two adults) and let your therapist decide which relationship(s) to bring into counseling.
Children Group Counselling
We use personal experience along with a number of treatment modalities to help you clarify what's truly important and meaningful to you and help you use that knowledge to set goals and take actions that enrich the relationships in your life.
All of our services are offered in-person or virtually. Telehealth (Virtual) appointments can be booked at both our locations, any day of the week. Our session length for counselling and assessment services is 55-minutes. Longer ( 90 to 120-minute) sessions may be offered at your therapists’ discretion. We are happy to provide complimentary consultations virtually or by phone.
