I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist, who has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. I specialize in helping young people (ages 5 and up) affected by trauma, grief and loss, separation/ divorce, complex behavioural concerns, emotional dysregulation, racism and discrimination, ADHD, depression, and anxiety. I have extensive mental health and clinical experience working with children and families in homes, schools, non-for profit settings, and day treatment programs. In counselling, I practice from a systemic and trauma-informed lens which means that I do not only focus on what the person’s behaviour is, but on the why. Depending on the individual needs of the client, I utilize play and art interventions along with narrative approaches. I am trained and experienced in suicide intervention and prevention, and non-suicidal self-injury. In addition to my training as a therapist, I also specialize in complex behaviours, trauma- informed care, mental health promotion workshops, and parent workshops.
