Clarity on Learning Strengths and Challenges

A Giftedness Assessment helps determine whether a child would be considered gifted and eligible for gifted programming. It provides insight into your child’s cognitive strengths and learning profile. Since admission requirements vary by program, please review your program’s guidelines before booking to confirm whether cognitive testing alone is sufficient or if academic testing is also required. Results from Giftedness testing can help identify your child’s cognitive strengths, learning style, and areas of advanced potential. Academic testing is available for children aged 5 and older and can be added based on the discretion of your clinician.
CBE - Gate Program:
An intake session will be conducted to gain background information on the student, followed by psychometric testing (i.e., cognitive and academic testing). After analyzing the data, the clinician will review the results with the guardian. A report will be written if the student is identified as a gifted learner.

After analyzing the data, the clinician will review the results. A report will be written if the student is identified as a gifted learner. If a student is not identified as a gifted learner, then the guardian can decide if they would like a written report during the feedback session.

**For Gifted Assessments (Westmount): A report will only be completed if a student is identified as a gifted learner (Full-Scale IQ = 130 +/- 5). If the student is not identified as gifted, the legal guardian can choose whether they would like a written report to be provided during the feedback session.**
